Drinking (D), Recreational (R), Fisheries (F), Agriculture (A), and Consumption of Fish (C) water quality objectives are used to monitor water quality on the Carrot River. The lowest numerical level for each variable was selected from the various water use objectives to ensure that the highest level of protection is given to protect the entire aquatic environment.

Carrot River monitoring

The Carrot River flows eastwards across the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border. Environment Canada conducts water quality monitoring for the PPWB at this location. Pelicans are water users at this location and other Prairie rivers.
